Helpful Resources for our Military-Connected Students

Student-Veteran Steering Committee

Mission Statement: The Veteran’s Steering Committee serves as an advisory committee to the Sonoran Desert Institute Leadership by providing guidance and advocacy for programs that demonstrate our Veterans’ Supportive Campus as determined from the integration of campus culture and best practices with the real needs of student-veterans.

Goals: Advance policies, programs, and opportunities that benefit our student-veteran population; foster an environment that builds and strengthens the SDI veteran community; serve as points of contact to fellow veterans and actively connect with military-connected students to share information, ideas, support, and solicit feedback.

Meetings: The Student-Veteran Steering Committee meeting is scheduled to be held on 8 January 2025, 5 March 2025, 7 May 2025, 2 July 2025, 3 September 2025, and 5 November 2025 at 3 pm (MST).
