Sonoran Desert Institute (SDI) will be at Booth 517, and our team will be there throughout the weekend to talk with attendees about firearms technology education, gunsmithing, and the growing opportunities within the firearms industry.
The 2026 NRA Annual Meeting takes place April 16–19, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. Each year the event brings together firearm manufacturers, retailers, instructors, and enthusiasts from across the country. It’s one of the largest gatherings in the industry and a great place to see new products, learn from experts, and connect with others who share a passion for firearms.

Connecting with the Firearms Community
Industry events like the NRA Annual Meeting are a great opportunity for us to connect with the community we serve. We always enjoy meeting current students, graduates, and people who are exploring the firearms industry for the first time.
Sonoran Desert Institute is an accredited online college that offers programs focused on firearms technology and uncrewed technology. On the firearms side, students can pursue options such as the Associate of Science in Firearms Technology or the Certificate in Firearms Technology – Gunsmithing.
These programs combine structured online coursework with hands-on components that students complete as part of their program requirements.
Being present at events like NRAAM also helps us stay connected to the real-world needs of the firearms industry. Conversations with manufacturers, gunsmiths, retailers, and professionals help ensure our programs continue to reflect the skills that matter in the field.
