Lucy Manley serves as a Lead Faculty at SDI, where in addition to her coaching duties she teaches English Composition. She holds master’s degrees in both curriculum studies from the University of Hawai’i and in English composition and rhetoric from Miami University. A proud military spouse, Lucy has lived in many places throughout the country and currently calls South Carolina home. She was attracted to SDI for its ability to provide stable remote work, enabling her to support her family while also continuing her own mission of supporting education: “I believe education is life’s greatest adventure,” she says. “I enjoy seeing where my students’ educational journeys take them.”

Living with an adventure mindset, Lucy says her idea of a perfect day is spending time with her spouse and two children. She loves watching sports, and especially cheering on the Cincinnati Reds during baseball season and the Cincinnati Bengals over football season. Assuming time were not a factor, she would want to learn more about hydroponic gardening.
