Your essay should be submitted as one .pdf file containing a cover page, double-spaced, and 12-point Times New Roman font. Your viewpoint and the essay's purpose should be clearly established and sustained. The essay should follow the conventions of Standard American English (correct grammar, punctuation, etc.) and not exceed 1,000 words per essay.

Instructions: In 1,000 words or less, write an essay that addresses the following questions. Use specific examples and personal reflections to provide a clear understanding of your journey, challenges, and aspirations.

  1. Career Goals: What are your long-term career goals, and how will this scholarship support you in achieving them? Outline the specific steps you plan to take.
  2. Overcoming Challenges: Describe the barriers you’ve faced in pursuing your goals and how you plan to overcome them.
  3. Giving Back: How will reaching your goals enable you to give back to your community?
  4. Learning from Mistakes: Share a time you made a mistake, how you handled it, and what you learned from the experience.
  5. Seeking Support: Describe a time when you needed help but didn’t ask for it, the consequences you faced, and the lessons you learned. Then, share an example of a situation where you did reach out for help and how it led to a positive outcome.
