Summary
Did you know that eight of the fifty states of which the U.S. is comprised have official state firearms?
In honesty, I was shocked when I heard it. It just didn’t seem like something a state would place a particular emphasis on. Plus, add to that the fact that many firearm manufacturers that a given state might be excluding could theoretically be bad for business, and the fact that eight states had made their pick came as a shock.
However, why wouldn’t states have an official firearm? We’ve got state birds, state flowers – and firearms are such a vital part of American culture!
